A Winter Break
"and a quieter time to enjoy the Isle of Skye"

NOVEMBER to MARCH

The winter months are the perfect time to enjoy the austere beauty and the magical peace of the island and it's stunning dark skies.

Enjoy a walk through local forest plantations, along the Trotternish Ridge, around the Quiraing, or up Macleod's Tables and return to enjoy a dram or afternoon tea or simply curl up with a book in front of the fire. A gentle stroll along the sea shore where otters and eagles visit, or a walk around the peninsula is also rewarded by stunning views.

Recent winters have made us aware that the extremes of winter weather can affect the best laid travel plans of our guests and make access to Greshornish House even more of a challenge. After much deliberation, we have decided that for the time being we will no longer remain fully open during the winter months. However, as this is our home and we live here, we are very happy to be contacted by those looking for bed and breakfast accommodation whom we will endeavour to help in whatever way we can.

Please note that we are always closed for Christmas.
