Islay is an east facing Master Bedroom with a four poster bed (5' x 6'3"). It was formally an elegant Georgian drawing room, and retains the original cornice and brass picture rails.

This room remains one of our most popular bedrooms and a much requested honeymoon destination with its front facing window offering spectacular views over the croquet lawn and Loch Greshornish to the Trotternish Ridge beyond. The addition of a south facing side window with window seat provides a further view over the conservatory onto banks of rhododendrons which are at their best in late May and June.

From the comfort of your four-poster bed you will be woken by the morning sun streaming in, your bed will continue to enjoy the afternoon sun, and when you retire in the evening you can relax in front of the open coal-effect fire.

Islay’s stone flagged en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower and one of the best views in the house which can be fully appreciated from the seat of the loo!

Islay is not suitable for young children and we regret that no pets are allowed.
